| Resumo | This work is part of a study carried out to apply statistical methods to estimate thematic mapping accuracy and to compare different products generated from the visual interpretation of TM-LANDSAT imagery. The objective here is to introduce the alterations proposed in the legend of the material selected for the analysis, and to compare three thematic maps obtained by different interpreters, based on this legend. This study used the Santos chart from the natural vegetation mapping of Sao Paulo State, developed by the Environment Secretary of Sao Paulo. The legend alteration resulted in three classes: Forest, "Restinga" and Mangrove. From the statistical analysis, it was concluded that there is no difference between the different maps, which suggest that the alteration proposed in the legend limited the occurrance of mismatches between them. |
